A Tour Through the Whole Island of Great Britain - Daniel Defoe (Folio Society Edition)

A Tour Through the Whole Island of Great Britain is an account of Defoe’s travels between 1724 and 1727 and gives a fascinating and nostalgic insight into mid 18th Century Britain when the country was still largely rural and many areas of our cities still hamlets.

This highly collectable and rare edition is beautifully bound in green cloth with a gold gilt illustrated overlay map depicting the midland counties of England taken from A Map Of England & Wales , 1724 , by Herman Moll. The slip case is printed with one of the Dixton Manor House paintings, painted circa 1715.

This is a large, heavy and substantial book, 8 x 10.5 inches, weighing over 2Kg, the weight will be accounted for in your shopping basket and the delivery charge band allocated accordingly.

For those who would like to read about Defoe’s travels but would prefer a more portable version, we also stock paperback editions by other publishers.
